Recipe

SERVINGS: 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 1.5 Oz Jalapeno and cilantro infused tequila

  • .5 Oz Cointreau (or another triple sec)

  • .75 Oz fresh lime juice

  • 1 teaspoon agave (or use simple syrup or raw sugar to taste)

Directions

  1. Combine all your ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. (Or alternately if you do not have a cocktail shaker, you can stir the ingredients together in a measuring cup or shake them together in a mason jar.)

  2. Give your mixture a good shake (or stir) for about 10 seconds or until chilled.

  3. Strain and serve on ice.

  4. If you would like to salt the rim of your glass, simply run a juicy lime wedge around the rim and then dip the rim in coarse Kosher salt.


At Picaro we infuse our tequila using a sous vide process. You can do it the old-fashioned way at home using our recipe. 

Jalapeno and Cilantro Infused Ingredients

  • 12 grams jalepeno

  • 8 grams cilantro

  • 1 cup Blanco Tequila (we recommend El Jimador)

Directions

  1. Roughly chop all ingredients and combine together in an airtight container, such as a mason jar.

  2. Seal the container tightly, give it a good shake and store in cool, dark place. Giving it a good shake daily and let sit for 2-3 days.
    Tip: ingredients like hot peppers can infuse quite intensely so feel free to taste your infusion daily and use a fine mesh strainer to strain out your liquor when it's finished to your taste.
